Hey yall, it’s been a while since I posted about me and what’s been going on, so I wanted to take some time to touch base and check-in. As always, you know I missed yall. I miss our talks, just been busy learning new things, and when I get going on something, I can’t stop.

The Family
The family is growing and flourishing.
Mackenzie
Mackenzie did a lot of reading over the Christmas break, so when January came, she and two other girls at her school got to be the Principal for a day.

She also made the AB honor roll. We went to the honor ceremony, but she didn’t get her award. I could tell she was upset. She told me she cried in the bathroom, but she got it together. Natlie and I told her a piece of paper doesn’t define you. It’s how you feel inside. Well, she wanted an award. We ended up getting some cupcakes to make up for the loss.

Madison
Madison is turning 17 years old this month, and we have a surprise for her, a much-needed surprise. I think it will benefit everyone. She has a boyfriend, and I think it may be pretty serious. As a mom, I am in the business but not in the business. I remember being a teenager, knowing I need to have boundaries. I’m just blessed she talks to me and keep me in the loop. I even spoke to the young man, and he is so well-mannered. He even plays sports.
Madison has improved on being an introvert. is starting to go out more now, and she has a circle of really good friends. Her grades are improving as well. She has an issue with Science, but it’s okay. She passed the class for the semester.
Natlie
Natlie has been on her Scorpio vibe lately. If you are a Scorpio or know a Scorpio you know when they start working or get something in their head they get focused and are work driven. Since she has been promoted last year, she has been really working on her position at work, and just focusing on improving.
I can’t say anything bad. As a couple, we have our ups and downs, but Natlie has been growing and improving, making me a better person.
We have started exercising more, which helps to have a workout buddy. She loves doing planks, and I am her wingman. No, I’m not planking, but I do hold the timer and say “Great Job!”
Ivey (Me)
As for me, put your seatbelt on. I have been dealing with a lot but nothing at the same time. I have had a few altercations with stalking.
I don’t want to go into detail, I refuse to give life to a dead situation, but I will say that the past has a funny way of sneaking back up on you. Stalkers, bullies, instigators… if they were in your past, they would show back up.
Hopefully, life will have made you grow! You better know how to handle the past to move on with your life for a better future. That’s the message.
For the first time, I passed out drunk at a bar. Yall, I was bent, tore up from the floor, in the back seat drunk. Listen, if you see a video of a thick black female passed out on a curb at a bar… in Charlotte, NC… THATS ME!! I should be ashamed, but I’m not.
Listen, maybe this isn’t a goal, but I have never done anything exciting or close to embarrassing to want to hide my head. This situation makes me feel like I’m in a new club or something. Do you know how many times I heard of these drunk stories and wondered what it’s like?
Well, I can tell you it’s not much to tell… I don’t remember much. I got groped at the bar, got in my feelings, started drinking, and passed out. That’s the truth.
I have been going through some things!
I suppose to be on a diet, but I haven’t done well. It is ok; it’s alright; I’m going to get it together. I just need some space and time to gather my thoughts.
Do you ever have a lot on your do-to list, and it’s Monday, and before you know it, it’s Friday, and you still haven’t even gotten to the middle of the list? That is how I feel a lot lately. I’m in this mode of don’t think about it, do it. Don’t hesitate, do it!
Ok yall, I have to get my day started, but I had to come and talk with you and catch up.
As always, Big Hugs and Warm Smiles
Ivey
