My name is Ivey, and I am a stay-at-home mom (SAHM), family chef, and mompreneur. I love trying new things and making the most out of life.

In 2020, I found out I was sick. I suffer from hypoparathyroidism and hypothyroidism.  Both autoimmune diseases have caused me to have stage 3 kidney failure.

Before we bring out the tissues, I have some fantastic doctors and specialists who have high hopes for me and for living a long life. My kidney specialist hopes things can reverse themselves, but currently.. my body wants to go to the beat of its drum.

What Inspired Me To Start Blogging?

This brings me to Making Paradise at Home.

In 2020 Covid-19 hit hard. Due to being sick, my family took a hard hit. We ended up seeing doctor after doctor because of my thyroid and kidney issues, and my family’s only memories were doctor visits.

I’m the family’s matriarch, and if my vibe and energy are low, that bleeds into the family structure. I couldn’t allow that.

So I decided to bring motivation into our home. I started following Pinterest recipes, making family videos and making new memories for my family.

Due to my health, even being vaccinated, I still am in quarantine…. that means MY FAMILY is in quarantine.

As the family’s matriarch, I decided to MAKE PARADISE AT HOME.
