Hey guys!! It’s been a while since I did a kidney doctor post, so you know it’s that time of year again. I brought us a plethora of fruit so we could have our talk.

Today, my neurologist gave me some bittersweet news, and its no point in holding it any longer from you.
Bad news first!
- Creatinine levels are a little high.
- Acid levels are low
- Vitamin D levels are low.
I will have to take a teaspoon of baking soda and water each morning to help balance the acid levels. I am on vitamin D tablets and must return in two weeks to check my creatinine levels.
Great news!
- Everything else is perfect.
- My blood pressure is 127/74.
Weight loss update
I had a long talk with the nurse, my nephrologist, and her assistant, and I have been advised NOT to WEIGH myself until March 15. Yeah, they said the same thing Natlie said. It could be muscle, or I could be retaining water, but it didn’t matter because I was losing and looking good.
She told me I had to worry about getting my body back on track and worry about the scale later. She said the number on the scale doesn’t dictate my weight loss success. She said I would have my weigh-in when I saw her, and worrying about weighing was going to cause stress my kidney didn’t need.
Natlie hid the scales…
I still plan on making my weight loss journey, just not weighing each week. I don’t know why my body acts funny as it does, but I’m still focused!
Ok yall, I know it’s getting late, but I just had to tell you about the doctor. Sweet dreams. As always, Big Hugs and Warm Smiles.
