When The Madness Is Over – Neighbor Edition

Hey yall, I have to tell yall so much stuff, and I apologize for not posting sooner. Your friend had to take some time for herself and get her mind right because I had the cops called on me for having a bonfire in my backyard on Easter Monday.

Hateful Neighbor

Yeap, you guessed it, this has to do with a hateful neighbor. She has been a thorn in my ass since she moved in back in 2008-2010. No matter what I do, she seems to have an issue with it in MY YARD. For example:

  • Hates when I cut grass because she doesn’t want grass in her yard. I have a bag on my lawnmower.
  • She hates when I cookout
  • Hates when I play with my children
  • Hates when Natlie and I sit on the deck and have private time
  • Hates when we day camp/ backyard camping
  • Hates when we have the firepit going
  • HATES WHEN I LET MY CHILDREN SWIM IN THE BLOW-UP POOL.
  • Hates when I just come outside.

And at first, I thought I was a little over the top because how can someone hate what you are doing in your home, but after a while, Natlie and the girls started noticing things.

  • When I’m alone outside, she comes outside and stares at me, rolling her eyes and having a temper tantrum ( I guess)
  • No matter when we are out back, she cuts her grass or uses the leaf blower, more on our side of the fence. Sometimes she stays outside so long that we LITERALLY just cut our family time short and go in. We can’t hear each other over the lawnmower or leafblower.
  • She gets the leafblower and blows her yard trimming, leaves, and debris in our yard. Mackenzie and Madison stay mad because we cut our grass, and she waits until we go inside to destroy our work.
  • It is other stuff, but it’s a little weird, and I don’t know how to explain it. ( SMH)
The Neighborly Thing

I don’t play games, especially with my neighbors, because at the end of the day, WE have to live here.

Now don’t get me wrong, yes, I have had some issues with other neighbors in the past, but we don’t keep grudges. Especially when it was over our children playing. As most adults do, you let time heal all wounds. As of today, I speak to the majority of my neighbors, EVEN the ones I had encounters with… so I assumed that since this issue is with my next-door neighbor, it would be fixed relatively easily.

Natlie spoke to the husband, and he assured us HIS WIFE was fine and had no issues. No sooner than he went to work, she started doing things behind his back to me and Natlie. It was the same things she did to me, but now she was more open to doing it to Natlie as well.

Fast forward to Easter Monday, I guess we were having too much of a good time because as the day camping was coming to an end, she decided to do her same antics. Lawnmower, leafblower, standing by the fence looking through the cracks.

I went to talk to her, and in her NORMAL FASHION, she ran. But she called her husband, who must have already called the cops, and she called her son with his girlfriend. I didn’t care if she called the ARMY OF JESUS; you will not dictate my home.

Needless to say, the police told me I could do what I wanted in my yard and to IGNORE HER. I was told to start keeping notes on HER activity, and the next time she calls on me, I have proof of harassment, and she will be taken in. I even tried to stop the issue, because to this day I still don’t really know what her problem is… but she refused to speak to me, and ran into the house. Leaving her husband and child outside to fight a war she started.

I was told I could go back to my firepit and enjoy the rest of my night!

I CANNOT MAKE THIS UP!!

As of today, I’m not going to lie, I am better, but I am so disappointed in her. I would assume, with her being Mexican and me, being African-American, that being minorities, we would have gotten along better than this, but life showed me: THAT WAS A LIE!

Needless to say, I plan on having a bonfire/firepit party today. If you don’t hear from me in a few days, she called the cops, and I was taken in. I wish I could say I’m joking, but I really don’t know what lie she would use on me to see me locked up!

With all that being said, I had to tell yall that has been going on, but I can’t tell you the good without getting this off my chest first. As always, Biggest Hugs and Warmest Smiles.

Ivey
